Dalbello is a prestigious Italian brand synonymous with high-performance ski boots. Founded in 1974 by Alessandro Dalbello, a master bootmaker, the company is headquartered in Asolo, Italy. Asolo is located in the Montebelluna district, a world-renowned hub for technical sports footwear. This geographic heritage is deeply embedded in the brand's identity, ensuring that traditional Italian craftsmanship remains at the core of their design and engineering processes.

Over the decades, Dalbello evolved from a small family operation into a global leader in the ski industry, particularly noted for their innovative 'three-piece' (Cabrio) design which revolutionized flexibility and fit for freestyle and freeride skiers. Despite its global expansion, Dalbello maintains a strong manufacturing presence in Italy, where its top-tier factory continues to produce its most technical models, though secondary production and assembly may occur in other European regions to meet global demand.

In terms of ownership, Dalbello was acquired by the Marker Völkl Group in 2015, which was subsequently purchased by Kohlberg & Company. In 2024, a significant shift in the industry occurred when the Elevate Outdoor Collective (formerly K2 Sports) integrated these brands under its umbrella. Most recently, as of 2024 and looking toward 2026, the brand is part of the portfolio being acquired by the Italian investment group Investindustrial, which aims to further professionalize and expand the heritage of Italian outdoor brands.
