Robens Outdoor Gear

Founded in 1973 by Klaus Robens in Wentorf, Germany, the brand began as a small operation run out of a home cellar with a tent display on the front lawn. Klaus used his extensive experience as a sports-goods merchandiser to create high-quality, technical outdoor gear designed for enthusiasts. The brand's focus on technical performance and value quickly established it as a significant name in the European outdoor market.

In 2000, Robens was acquired by the Danish family-owned company Oase Outdoors. Following this acquisition, the headquarters and research and development operations moved to Give, Denmark. While the manufacturing is largely outsourced to specialized facilities in the Far East—consistent with most major technical outdoor brands—all product testing, including rigorous wind and rain trials, is conducted at the specialized 'Oase Outdoors' facility in Denmark to ensure they meet Scandinavian performance standards.
