Alpro Coconut Chocolate Plant-Based Dessert

Alpro is a pioneering European brand in plant-based food products. Originally founded in Belgium in 1980 by Philippe Vandemoortele as a subsidiary of the Vandemoortele group, the brand focuses on sustainable dairy alternatives made from soy, almonds, hazelnuts, and coconut.

The manufacturing for Alpro products is centered in Wevelgem, Belgium, which is one of the largest plant-based production facilities in Europe, though the brand also utilizes facilities in the UK and France to serve local markets. In 2017, Alpro became part of the Danone group following Danone's acquisition of WhiteWave Foods (the previous owner). Today, Alpro is a core part of Danone’s global strategy to expand its plant-based nutrition portfolio and maintains a strong focus on ecological sustainability and healthy living.
