Château Fougas is a historic winery located in the Côtes de Bourg region of Bordeaux, France. Established with an 18th-century manor, the estate is deeply rooted in the French viticultural tradition. It is renowned for its commitment to terroir-driven winemaking, having transitioned to organic and biodynamic farming practices to preserve the integrity of the soil and the local ecosystem.

The brand is owned and operated by the Béchet family, who acquired the estate in 1976. Under the leadership of Jean-Yves Béchet and Michèle Béchet, the winery has gained international acclaim, particularly for its 'Maldoror' label. The production, bottling, and aging of the wine take place entirely at the estate in Lansac, Gironde, ensuring that the product remains a true representation of its geographical origin.
