The IS-7 was a Soviet heavy tank designed in 1945. It was the largest and most powerful member of the IS (Iosif Stalin) tank family and was developed by the Kirov Plant in Leningrad. Although it was a marvel of post-World War II engineering, possessing a 130mm S-70 naval gun and weight reaching 68 tonnes, it never entered mass production.

Only a handful of prototypes were produced before the project was cancelled in favor of more mobile tank designs like the T-10. Today, the design is considered a pinnacle of heavy tank development within the Eastern Bloc. The brand or 'make' of the vehicle belongs to the historic Soviet defense industry, specifically the Leningrad Kirov Plant (LKZ), which today exists as the Russian Joint Stock Company 'Kirovsky Zavod'. The legacy of these vehicles is maintained by the Russian Federation as the ultimate successor state to the Soviet Union's state enterprises.
