Starbucks Caffè Verona is a signature dark roast coffee blend originally named 'Jake's Blend' when it was created for a Seattle restaurant in 1975. The brand eventually became so popular that it was added to Starbucks' regular lineup and renamed after the city of Verona, Italy, to reflect its romantic and rich cocoa profile.
While the Starbucks brand originated in Seattle, Washington, as a standalone coffee house, the consumer packaged goods (CPG) division underwent a major shift in 2018. Through a Global Coffee Alliance, Nestlé acquired the perpetual rights to market and distribute Starbucks packaged coffee and tea products in retail channels worldwide.
Today, these coffee pods are typically manufactured in regional facilities to ensure freshness. For the North American market (en-CA), production primarily occurs in the United States or Canada, depending on specific SKU requirements and regional distribution networks managed by Nestlé.
