Cloetta Läkerol Pastilles

Läkerol is a well-established Swedish brand of sugar-free pastilles that dates back to 1909, originally founded by Adolf Ahlgren in Gävle, Sweden. For decades, it has been a staple in the Nordic market, known for its iconic 'A' logo and its association with royalty, as indicated by the coat of arms on its packaging. While the brand is deeply rooted in Swedish culture, the physical manufacturing of the pastilles has transitioned over time. Production moved from Sweden to Levice, Slovakia, following industrial restructuring in the 2010s.

Today, the brand is owned by Cloetta AB, a major Nordic confectionery company. Cloetta was formed through several mergers, most notably the 2012 merger with Leaf, and it manages a historical portfolio including other famous Swedish snacks. Despite the manufacturing relocation to Slovakia, the brand's headquarters and administrative functions remain in Sweden, maintaining its identity as a prominent Swedish confectionery leader.
