Founded in 1998 in Ohio, SVS initially gained iconic status for its high-performance subwoofers before expanding into full-range speakers and wireless audio solutions.

While the engineering and design process takes place at SVS headquarters in Youngstown, Ohio, manufacturing is primarily carried out in China to scale production for global markets. The brand is currently owned through a private investment group led by Gary Yacoubian, who took the helm in 2011 to transition the brand from a direct-to-consumer niche player into a global high-fidelity audio leader.
