Łowicz is one of Poland's most iconic and historic food brands, heavily drawing its identity from the town of Łowicz, which is famous for its vibrant folk culture and traditional paper cut-outs (wycinanki). Founded in the 1960s as a state enterprise during the Polish People's Republic, the brand initially focused on vegetable and fruit processing, taking advantage of the rich agricultural land in central Poland. Over several decades, it became a household staple known particularly for its jams, fruit syrups, and tomato-based sauces.

Following the economic transition in Poland, the company underwent privatization and was eventually acquired by the Maspex Group in 2015. Today, Łowicz is a leader in the Polish preserves market, emphasizing natural ingredients and traditional recipes while modernizing its production facilities in Łowicz and Wąsosz Dolny. Its packaging prominently features stylized folk art, celebrating its regional heritage even as it competes in international markets.
