Daimler Armoured Car

The Daimler Armoured Car was one of the most successful British armoured cars of the Second World War. It was developed by the Daimler Company, a brand with deep roots in British automotive and military history. Originally designed for reconnaissance and liaison tasks, its unique 4x4 drive system and compact dimensions allowed it to navigate difficult terrain where heavier tanks might struggle.

Today, the legacy of the Daimler brand in the military context is a matter of historical preservation, as the original Daimler Company was absorbed into Birmingham Small Arms Company (BSA) and later Jaguar. As of the 2020s, the rights to the Daimler marque are held by Mercedes-Benz Group AG.
