Peroni Lager

Peroni is one of Italy's most recognized beer brands, originally founded in 1846 by Francesco Peroni in Vigevano, Lombardy. It has grown into a global icon of Italian style, characterized by its crisp, refreshing flavor and its association with Italian heritage and premium craftsmanship. The beer is primarily produced in three major breweries located in Rome, Bari, and Padua, utilizing Italian ingredients like 100% Italian malt.

Over the years, the brand transitioned from a family-run business to being part of larger international portfolios. It was acquired by SABMiller in 2003, but following the merger between Anheuser-Busch InBev and SABMiller, Peroni was sold in 2016 to the Japanese conglomerate Asahi Group Holdings. This acquisition ensured that Peroni remains a key player in the premium international lager market while maintaining its authentic Italian manufacturing roots.
