Chupa Chups Melody Pops are a distinctive lollipop variety shaped like a whistle, designed to play musical notes by sliding the stick. Invented in Spain, this product has become a global icon in the confectionery world, combining playfulness with the classic strawberry flavor associated with the brand.
The manufacturing occurs in several key locations, with the primary facilities located in Spain (San Esteve Sesrovires) to serve the European market, though production for other regions is often handled in China or Mexico.
Originally founded by Enric Bernat in 1958, the Chupa Chups brand (whose famous logo was designed by Salvador Dalí) was acquired by the Italian-Dutch multinational Perfetti Van Melle in 2006. Today, it remains under the ownership of Perfetti Van Melle, one of the largest candy and gum manufacturers in the world.
