Mowa, officially known as the MiVoice Office Web Application (MOWA), is a key part of the Mitel ecosystem designed to facilitate seamless business communication. It serves as a modern extension of traditional PBX systems, allowing users to handle calls and group collaborations through CloudLink technology.

In 2023, Mitel finalized the acquisition of Unify, the unified communications and collaboration business of Atos, which expanded its global footprint. The company is currently under the ultimate ownership of the private equity firm Searchlight Capital Partners, which acquired Mitel in 2018. While Mitel maintains its historic headquarters in Ottawa, Canada, its manufacturing and data hosting operations are distributed globally across various cloud regions and technical hubs.
