The FRITZ!Powerline 1260 is a high-performance networking device designed to extend home internet coverage using existing electrical wiring. Produced under the well-known FRITZ! brand, this device allows for high-speed data transmission between rooms without the need for installing dedicated Ethernet cables. It is particularly valued in Europe for its integration with the FRITZ!Box ecosystem and its support for WLAN Mesh technology.

The brand is a flagship of the German telecommunications giant AVM, which was founded in Berlin in 1986. Unlike many of its competitors who outsource all manufacturing to Asia, AVM has historically maintained a significant portion of its production and development within Germany and Europe. This commitment to local engineering has helped it secure a dominant position in the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region.

Ownership of the brand has recently undergone a major shift. Since 2024, the majority owner of AVM is the European private equity firm Imker Capital Partners. This acquisition marked a new chapter for the company as it looks to expand its footprint internationally while maintaining the core innovative spirit established by its original founders.
