Plantation Rum XO 20th Anniversary

Plantation Rum (rebranding as Planteray) is a unique line of spirits that blends Caribbean distillation traditions with French finishing techniques. This XO 20th Anniversary edition is originally distilled in Barbados at the West Indies Rum Distillery. After aging for many years in the tropical heat of the Caribbean in bourbon casks, the rum is transported to the Château de Bonbonnet in Cognac, France. In France, it undergoes a second aging process in small Ferrand French oak casks for another 12 to 18 months, a signature ‘double-aging’ method developed by the brand owner.

The brand was created by Alexandre Gabriel, who also oversees Maison Ferrand. In 2024, the brand began a transition to the name 'Planteray' to better align with modern cultural sensitivities while maintaining the same recipe and production heritage. The ultimate owner, Maison Ferrand, remains one of the few independent family-owned spirits producers in the Cognac region of France.
