Tyrrells is a premium British snack brand famous for its hand-cooked potato crisps. It was founded in 2002 by William Chase at Tyrrells Court Farm in Herefordshire, England. The brand is well-known for utilizing local ingredients and maintaining a rustic, artisanal image, often featuring eccentric black-and-white photography on its packaging.
Over the years, Tyrrells has transitioned from a small farm-based operation to a global brand through several high-profile acquisitions. After being owned by Langholm Capital and later Amplify Snack Brands, it was eventually acquired by KP Snacks, a subsidiary of the German-based Intersnack Group. Despite its international ownership, the primary manufacturing still takes place in the United Kingdom, specifically in Herefordshire, keeping true to its regional roots.
