The brand's history dates back to the 1940s when it revolutionized the industry by applying aviation technology to residential fans, creating the signature "Vortex" air circulation method. This innovation was pioneered by Ralph K. Odor and Ottis A. Sutton under the O.A. Sutton Corporation.

Today, Vornado Air LLC is headquartered in Andover, Kansas, where it maintains significant design, engineering, and administrative operations.
