Abanderado is an iconic Spanish brand specializing in men's underwear, founded in Mataró (Barcelona) in 1963 by the Sans family. Over decades, it became a market leader in Spain known for its cotton quality and comfort.

Originally part of the Sans Branded Apparel group, the brand was acquired by US-based Hanesbrands Inc. in 2006. In 2021, Hanesbrands sold its European Innerwear business (including Abanderado) to Regent, L.P., a global private equity firm. Today, Abanderado operates under the Hanes Europe Innerwear (HEI) umbrella. While the brand is deeply rooted in Spain, its production is global, utilizing facilities in various locations across Europe and North Africa to supply the Mediterranean market.
