Karrimor is an iconic British brand founded in 1946 by Charles and Mary Parsons. Originally specializing in bicycle bags and later becoming a leader in mountaineering and outdoor equipment, the brand became synonymous with durable hiking boots and backpacks. In the early 21st century, the brand faced financial difficulties and was eventually acquired, shifting its market position to focus on affordable outdoor and sporting apparel.
Today, the brand is owned by the Frasers Group (formerly Sports Direct International), which has expanded Karrimor's range to include specialized running products like the Caracal series shown. While the brand retains its British heritage in design and market presence, the actual manufacturing is outsourced to various low-cost production centers, primarily across Southeast Asia in countries like China, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
