Café Amazon is a prominent Thai coffee house chain founded in 2002 by PTT Public Company Limited. The brand was originally designed to provide a high-quality coffee experience at petrol stations across Thailand, taking inspiration from the lush, green environment of the Amazon rainforest to create a 'green oasis' atmosphere for travelers.
Over the years, the brand has expanded significantly beyond its original service station roots, opening standalone cafes in shopping malls, commercial areas, and international markets including Laos, Cambodia, the Philippines, and Japan. The manufacturing of its paper-based amenities, like the napkin shown, is primarily handled within Thailand through local suppliers, though regional sourcing is common for international branches.
The brand is currently owned and managed by PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR), a flagship subsidiary of PTT. Under OR’s management, the chain has become the largest coffee chain in Southeast Asia and one of the largest globally by outlet count, continuing its mission of sustainability and market leadership in the beverage industry into 2026 and beyond.
