Nocibé is a prominent French beauty retailer and brand that was founded in 1984 by Daniel Vercamer in Lille, France. The name 'Nocibé' was inspired by Great Bird Island (Nosy Be) in Madagascar, known for its ylang-ylang production. While it started as a chain of perfume shops, it developed its own extensive line of private-label cosmetics, skincare, and grooming products, including the Nocibé Men range.
In 2014, Nocibé became part of the Douglas Group, a leading European beauty retailer based in Germany. As of 2026, the brand continues to operate as a major subsidiary of Douglas, maintaining its strong French identity and market presence. Most of its private-label skin and body care products are manufactured in European facilities, with a strong emphasis on French production for its domestic market.
