Santa Clara is one of Brazil's most iconic coffee brands, with a history dating back to 1959. Founded by João Alves de Queiroz in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, it began as a small family operation. Over the decades, it grew into a dominant force in the Brazilian coffee market, particularly in the North and Northeast regions.

The brand is currently owned by the 3corações Group (Grupo 3corações), which is a joint venture between the Brazilian company São Miguel Holding and the Israeli multinational Strauss Group. Most Santa Clara production occurs in various manufacturing plants across Brazil, ensuring the coffee is processed close to its sourcing and consumption markets. As of 2026, the Strauss Group remains the ultimate co-owner of the brand through this strategic partnership.
