Alphabet Inc. is a global technology conglomerate headquartered in Mountain View, California. It was created through a corporate restructuring of Google on October 2, 2015, becoming the parent company of Google and several former Google subsidiaries. The company's origins trace back to the research project of Larry Page and Sergey Brin at Stanford University in 1996, which eventually led to the incorporation of Google in 1998.

While Alphabet is primarily a software and services company—dominating fields like search, advertising, and cloud computing—it also produces hardware such as Pixel smartphones and Nest home devices. These physical products are designed in the United States but are typically manufactured in Southeast Asia and China.
