Starting in 2017, Itambé underwent a significant change in ownership. Currently, the brand is owned by Lactalis, a French multinational dairy giant that is the world's largest dairy products group. Manufacturing is primarily concentrated within Brazil to serve the South American market, utilizing local milk supplies and advanced processing facilities located in the state of Minas Gerais and other Brazilian regions.
