Birrificio Angelo Poretti is a historic Italian brewery founded in 1877 by Angelo Poretti in Valganna, Italy. Inspired by his travels throughout Austria, Bohemia, and Bavaria, Poretti sought to bring high-quality lager brewing techniques to his home country. He established the brewery at the foot of the Italian Alps, utilizing the pure spring water of the region, which remains a hallmark of the brand's profile today.

The brand is widely recognized for its numbered system (e.g., 3 Luppoli, 4 Luppoli, etc.), which denotes the variety of hops used in each specific brew. This traditional approach has allowed the brand to maintain a distinct identity characterized by Italian craftsmanship and brewing heritage.

In 2002, the brewery was fully acquired by the Danish multinational Carlsberg Group. While ownership shifted to Denmark, production remains centered in the original Induno Olona brewery in Italy.
