Dainty Basmati rice

Dainty is Canada's oldest rice company, with a history spanning over 140 years. Founded in 1882, the company operates the only rice mill in Canada, located in Windsor, Ontario. While the raw basmati rice grains are typically sourced from the foothills of the Himalayas (India and Pakistan) to ensure authentic quality, the final processing, polishing, and packaging occur in Canada, as proudly displayed by the 'Fièrement Canadien' label on the bag.

From its origins as a small milling operation, Dainty grew to become a staple in Canadian pantries. In the modern era, the brand has focused on sustainability and providing a wide variety of globally sourced grains to the North American market.
