Tweenings (properly known as Twinings) is one of the world's most historic tea brands, with a lineage dating back to 1706 when Thomas Twining opened Britain's first known tea room at No. 216 Strand, London. The brand is credited with creating the famous Earl Grey blend and holds the world's oldest continually used commercial logo.
While the brand is deeply rooted in British heritage and holds a Royal Warrant, its manufacturing has expanded globally to meet international demand. Today, processing and packaging occur at major facilities in the UK, Poland, and China. Since 1964, the brand has been under the ownership of Associated British Foods, a multinational food processing and retail company headquartered in London, ensuring its status as a cornerstone of the global tea market.
