Nicola Gatta Metodo Classico Spumante

Nicola Gatta is a distinguished producer of sparkling wines located in Gussago, within the Franciacorta region of Lombardy, Italy. Although geographically situated in a region famous for Franciacorta DOCG, Nicola Gatta chooses not to use the appellation, instead labeling his products as 'Metodo Classico' to emphasize his commitment to biodynamic viticulture and natural winemaking processes without added sulfites.

The estate manages approximately 6 hectares of vineyards on limestone-rich soils. The production is characterized by long aging periods on the lees—often indicated by 'lune' (moons) on the label—and a philosophy of minimal intervention. The brand remains an independent, family-owned vigneron operation, deeply rooted in the terroir of the eastern hills of the province of Brescia.
