Cailler is the oldest Swiss chocolate brand still in existence, founded by François-Louis Cailler in 1819 in Vevey, Switzerland. The brand played a pivotal role in the history of chocolate, as it was the first to automate chocolate production and contributed to the development of milk chocolate through its proximity to Daniel Peter. Today, Cailler chocolate bars, such as the Lait Noisettes (Milk Chocolate with Whole Hazelnuts) and the Frigor line shown in the image, are manufactured at the Maison Cailler factory in Broc, using local milk from the Gruyère region. Since 1929, the brand has been under the ownership of the Swiss multinational Nestlé, which has maintained its heritage as a premium, traditional Swiss brand.
