Herta Finesse is a well-known line of premium, thinly sliced cold cuts originating from Germany. The brand Herta was established in 1897 by Ludwig and Wilhelmine Müller in Herten, Germany, as a family butcher shop. Over the decades, it grew into a significant meat processing brand known for quality and innovation in the deli meat segment.

In 1986, the Swiss conglomerate Nestlé acquired Herta, significantly expanding its distribution across Europe. However, in 2020, Nestlé sold a 60% majority stake in Herta to the Spanish group Casa Tarradellas. Today, Herta operates as a joint venture between Casa Tarradellas and Nestlé, though it is primarily managed under the Casa Tarradellas umbrella for its meat products. Manufacturing continues at specialized facilities in Germany and elsewhere in Europe to meet regional demand.
