Strongbow is a world-renowned dry cider brand with deep roots in British brewing history. Launched in 1960 by H.P. Bulmer in Hereford, England, it was named after the Cambro-Norman knight Richard de Clare, 2nd Earl of Pembroke, nicknamed 'Strongbow'. The brand quickly rose to prominence to become the world's leading cider, known for its distinctive sharp and refreshing taste profile.

Today, Strongbow is a flagship brand within the portfolio of Heineken N.V. While it is a global brand produced in various locations to serve different markets, the primary production for the UK and many international export markets remains centered at the Bulmers cider plant in Hereford, UK. Since 2008, following the acquisition of Scottish & Newcastle, the brand has been under the ownership of Heineken, which manages Strongbow's global distribution and marketing. Heineken has expanded the product line to include several fruit-flavored variants, though the original dry cider remains the most recognizable version of the brand.
