Marcilla is a historic Spanish coffee brand founded in 1907 in Barcelona by Julián Marcilla. It became a household name in Spain, known for its traditional roasting methods and high-quality aroma. For over a century, Marcilla has defined the coffee culture in Iberia, particularly with its signature 'Gran Aroma' and 'Mezcla' varieties.

Over the years, the brand transitioned from a family-run business to being part of major global conglomerates. Following a series of mergers, it became part of Jacobs Douwe Egberts (JDE), which later merged with Peet's Coffee to form JDE Peet's. Today, JDE Peet's is the world's leading pure-play coffee and tea company, headquartered in the Netherlands and largely owned by the German holding company JAB Holding Company. While the brand is managed globally, it maintains a strong manufacturing presence and heritage in Spain.
