Vivera Plant-Based Steak

Vivera is a leading European brand specializing in plant-based meat alternatives. Founded in 1990, the company was a pioneer in the meat-replacement market, originally starting as a producer of vegetarian products in the Netherlands. Over the decades, it has expanded its range to include a wide variety of vegan steaks, burgers, and minced products that closely mimic the texture and taste of traditional animal meat.

In 2021, Vivera was acquired by the JBS S.A. group, a global food giant based in Brazil. This acquisition marked a significant shift in ownership, placing the Dutch plant-based specialist under the umbrella of one of the world's largest meat processing companies. Despite this global ownership, Vivera continues to maintain its strong Dutch roots, with its main manufacturing facilities and research and development centers remaining in Holten, Netherlands. The brand plays a crucial role in the global shift towards sustainable, plant-based diets.
