Clos de l'Oratoire des Papes is a prestigious wine brand from the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation in the Rhône Valley, France. The brand was originally created by the Amouroux family in the late 19th century, specifically gaining its distinctive name and reputation in 1880 after the family acquired a plot of land that once belonged to the Oratory of the Popes.
The wine is produced exclusively in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape region in the south of France. In 2000, the estate was acquired by Ogier, a historic wine house based in the same region. Ogier itself is a subsidiary of AdVini, a leading French group in the wine industry that manages several prestigious estates across France and internationally. The brand is known for its iconic label, which has remained largely unchanged since 1926, and its commitment to traditional Rhône winemaking techniques.
