Knorr is a globally recognized food brand that originated in Germany in 1838 when Carl Heinrich Knorr began experimenting with drying vegetables and seasonings to preserve their flavor and nutritional value. The brand became a pioneer in ready-to-use soups and bouillon cubes, expanding rapidly across Europe.

Today, Knorr products are manufactured in multiple countries to serve local markets; for the Italian market, as indicated by the packaging labels, production is handled at the Sanguinetto facility in Verona, Italy. This facility is a key hub for soup and broth manufacturing.

Since 2000, Knorr has been owned by Unilever, one of the world's largest consumer goods companies. Unilever, headquartered in both London and Rotterdam (with a unified headquarters in London since 2020), manages Knorr as its largest brand, focusing on sustainable sourcing through initiatives like the Knorr Sustainability Partnership.
