The Withings ScanWatch Horizon is a premium hybrid smartwatch designed to combine traditional diver watch aesthetics with advanced health-tracking technology. The brand Withings was founded in France in 2008 by Éric Carreel and Cédric Hutchings, initially gaining fame for creating the first connected scale.

While the brand is rooted in French design and engineering, the hardware manufacturing is primarily conducted in China. The ScanWatch series is notable for its medical-grade sensors, including ECG and oximetry, which are developed in collaboration with cardiologists. After a brief period of ownership by Nokia (2016–2018), the company was re-acquired by its original founder, Éric Carreel, returning it to private French ownership where it remains a leader in the digital health industry.
