Zaječarsko svetlo pivo

Zaječarsko pivo is one of Serbia's most iconic and historic beer brands. Its story began in 1895 in the city of Zaječar, eastern Serbia, where local artisans founded the brewery that would eventually produce this beloved pale lager. Known for its traditional recipe and distinctive red label, the beer became a staple of Serbian beverage culture, often associated with authenticity and regional pride.

Over the decades, the brewery underwent several modernizations. In 2008, the brand entered a new era when it was acquired by the Dutch brewing giant Heineken N.V. Today, Zaječarsko is part of Heineken Srbija and is primarily produced at the Zaječar brewery (Pivara Zaječar) and the Novi Sad brewery. Under Heineken's global management, the brand has expanded its footprint significantly, becoming one of the best-selling beers in the Balkan region while maintaining its historical identity as a traditional Serbian pilsner.
