Dyn Managed DNS Service

Dyn, originally known as Dynamic Network Services Inc., is a pioneer in the managed DNS (Domain Name System) and traffic management industries. Founded in 2001 by Jeremy Hitchcock and Tim Wilde at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts, the company grew from a student project into a global leader in internet infrastructure performance and monitoring.

In November 2016, Oracle Corporation announced its acquisition of Dyn to integrate its robust DNS capabilities into the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Today, Dyn's technologies are fully integrated into Oracle’s suite of enterprise cloud services. While the brand originated in the United States, its infrastructure operates via a massive global network of points of presence (PoPs) to ensure low latency and high availability for users worldwide.
