Peperami

Peperami is a popular brand of pork salami snacks that has become a staple in the convenience food market across the United Kingdom and Ireland. The brand was originally launched in 1979 by the multinational corporation Unilever. Its iconic 'Animal' mascot and aggressive marketing campaigns throughout the 1990s helped cement its position as a leading snack in the meat category. For several decades, it was a core part of Unilever's snack portfolio before being divested.

In 2014, Unilever sold its meat snack division, including Peperami and the American brand Slim Jim, to Jack Link's LSI (now known as Link Snacks, Inc.). Despite the brand's British cultural heritage, the products are primarily manufactured in Germany, specifically at a dedicated production facility in Ansbach. This shift in manufacturing followed the consolidation of production lines under the new ownership.

Today, Peperami is owned by Link Snacks, Inc., a family-owned American company based in Wisconsin. The brand continues to innovate within the meat snack space, offering various flavors and formats while maintaining its status as one of the most recognizable salami snacks in Europe.
