By bypassing traditional industrial middle-men, the brand ensures that producers receive a significantly higher share of the value and are empowered to manage their own local processing.

While the company has a strong French base, its manufacturing model is increasingly decentralized. For instance, it opened a specialized organic and fair-trade chocolate factory in Fleurance, France, which operates at a lower carbon footprint and uses cocoa mass pre-processed by the Norandino cooperative in Peru. This unique model allows for partial manufacturing and value addition to take place in the country of origin, ensuring true traceability and economic support for small growers. The brand remains independent and cooperatively owned by its employees.
