Telecable is a prominent telecommunications brand primarily operating in the Asturias region of Spain. Founded in 1995 in Gijón, it initially focused on providing cable television and broadband internet to the local population, effectively becoming a regional leader in northern Spain.
Over the years, the brand transitioned from an independent regional operator to part of a larger corporate framework. In 2017, it was acquired by the Euskaltel Group, which was subsequently acquired by the Spanish telecommunications giant MasMovil. Today, as part of the Masorange joint venture (the merger between Orange Spain and MasMovil), Telecable operates as a specialized regional brand under one of Europe’s largest telecommunications conglomerates. Its infrastructure and services remain deeply rooted in Spanish soil, primarily managed through national network resources.
