Argeta is an iconic brand of savory spreads originating from Slovenia, specifically developed in the Izola factory in 1957. What started as an innovative way to utilize surplus chicken soup stock grew into the world’s leading meat and fish pâté brand. Its recipe was perfected in the late 1960s, leading to the launch of the 'Argeta' name and its signature orange packaging.

The brand has undergone significant expansion since its inception. While its primary production remains in Izola, Slovenia, and Hadžići, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the brand's global footprint led to the opening of a production line in the USA in 2017 to serve the North American market. It is now a hallmark of the Atlantic Grupa portfolio, following the acquisition of Droga Kolinska.

Today, Argeta is owned by the Croatian conglomerate Atlantic Grupa. The company maintains its market leadership by focusing on natural ingredients, avoiding artificial preservatives and flavor enhancers, and tailoring flavors to regional tastes across Europe and beyond.
