MG4 Electric

The MG4 Electric is a fully electric compact hatchback produced under the historic MG brand. Although MG was originally a British automotive icon established in the 1920s, the brand transitioned through several owners before being acquired by Chinese interests. The MG4 represents a significant shift for the brand, utilizing a dedicated rear-wheel-drive electric platform developed specifically for the global market.

Today, the MG brand is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SAIC Motor, a major state-owned automotive manufacturer based in Shanghai. All MG4 models are currently manufactured in China at SAIC's advanced production facilities, from where they are exported to Europe, Australia, and other international markets. This ownership has allowed the brand to leverage modern electric vehicle technology while maintaining its heritage as a global automotive nameplate.
