Bick's is a staple Canadian brand known for its wide variety of pickles, relishes, and specialty condiments. Originally founded in Scarborough, Ontario, in 1951, the brand was established by a local farming family, the Bicks, who began pickling cucumbers in their garage. Over the decades, it grew to become the most recognized pickle brand in Canada, beloved for its signature crunch and tangy brine.
Today, the brand is owned by The J.M. Smucker Company, an American food giant headquartered in Orrville, Ohio. While Bick's maintains its strong identity as a Canadian brand, its manufacturing footprint has shifted. In 2011, Smucker's closed the remaining Bick's processing facilities in Canada, moving production to various locations including the United States and other international sites to streamline supply chains. Despite this shift in manufacturing, the brand remains a dominant force in the Canadian market, distributed locally by Smucker Foods of Canada Corp.
