The brand has deep roots in the Spanish commercial landscape, originating in Vilamalla, Girona. Over the years, the ownership has transitioned through significant international acquisitions. After being acquired by the Chinese conglomerate Bright Food in 2015, the company was later sold to the Swiss multinational Transgourmet. This puts the brand under the ultimate ownership of the Swiss Coop group, ensuring a robust international supply chain and high production standards within the European market.
