Milka is a brand of chocolate confectionary which originated in Switzerland in 1901 and has been manufactured internationally by the US-based confectionery company Mondelez International (formerly Kraft Foods) since 1990. The brand's products are primarily produced in Lörrach, Germany, but manufacturing also takes place in several other European countries like Austria, Bulgaria, and Poland to serve global markets.

The packaging identifiable in the image contains ingredients in several languages including Spanish and Italian, which is common for products distributed throughout the European Union. Although the brand has a strong Swiss heritage—having been founded by Philippe Suchard—it is no longer a Swiss company. Today, it stands as one of Mondelez's most recognizable global brands, famous for its lilac-colored packaging and Alpine cow mascot.
