Reinert Salam de Sibiu is a premium dry-cured salami that holds a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status, ensuring its authentic production within specific regions of Romania. This product is a hallmark of Romanian culinary tradition, known for its unique maturation process involving noble mold, which gives it a distinctive flavor and long shelf life.

The Reinert brand was originally founded in Germany in 1931 by the Reinert brothers, establishing a long-standing reputation for high-quality deli meats. In the early 2000s, the company expanded its operations into Romania, opening a modern production facility in Feldioara to produce traditional Romanian specialties like Salam de Sibiu under the Reinert quality standards.

In 2019, the Reinert family business merged with Kemper to form The Family Butchers (TFB). As the second-largest meat processing company in Germany, The Family Butchers continues to own and manage the Reinert brand, maintaining its international presence and commitment to traditional meat-crafting methods across Europe.
