Lindt Excellence Vanilla is a premium dark chocolate bar infused with natural Bourbon vanilla. The Lindt brand traces its roots back to 1845 in Zurich, Switzerland, when David Sprüngli-Schwarz and his son Rudolf Sprüngli-Ammann produced the first solid bar of chocolate in German-speaking Switzerland.

Today, the brand is owned by the publicly traded Swiss holding company Chocoladefabriken Lindt & Sprüngli AG.
