Nudossi Nut-Nougat-Cream

Nudossi is a famous German hazelnut spread brand, often remembered as the East German counterpart to Nutella. It was originally developed in the late 1960s by the Vadossi company in Radebeul, Saxony. The product gained a loyal following due to its high hazelnut content, which historically was 36%, significantly higher than many Western competitors.

After German reunification, the brand faced difficulties but was successfully revived in the late 1990s. Today, it is manufactured by Sächsische und Dresdner Back- und Süßwaren GmbH & Co. KG. The 'Nudossi ohne Palmöl' (palm oil free) variant, as seen in the image, is a modern adaptation catering to health-conscious and environmentally aware consumers while maintaining the brand's signature high nut content recipe. Manufacturing remains centralized in Radebeul, Saxony, Germany.
