Indomie is an iconic brand of instant noodles that originated in Indonesia in 1972. It was created by the Indofood group, which revolutionized the quick-meal market with its high-quality wheat noodles and authentic Indonesian seasoning profiles. The Mi Goreng (fried noodle) line is the brand's most famous export, loved globally for its unique combination of seasoning oil, sweet soy sauce, and chili sauce.
Today, the brand is owned by Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk, headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia. While the heart of production remains in Indonesia, where some of the world's largest noodle factories are located, Indomie is also manufactured in various countries across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe to meet international demand efficiently. In the Netherlands, it is a staple in both ethnic markets and major supermarkets.
